An early morning Our tiny plane to Torino
Kelsey conveniently arrived at the baggage claim at the same time, and she had a car waiting for her (from the family she had been staying with for the past week in Rome.) I was lucky enough to get to go with her in the private car, and we set off for the hotel about 40 minutes away. Felt like such a VIP.
Our hotel was so charming and we had a great balcony overlooking gorgeous tree-lined streets. We threw our suitcases in our hotel rooms and set out to find something to eat.. first adventure. We walked in the first cafe we stumbled upon and soon came to realize the staff knew ZERO English. Our lunch thus involved a lot of pointing, hand gestures and confusion. More of that in our future I'm sure.
View from our balcony: the main train station, Porta Nuovo.
A pretty building on our walking tour (not sure what this is but I'm sure I'll find out soon!)
xo,
Lauren
