First Day of 15th Grade

After our Italian gym experience yesterday morning, we discovered that it is in fact SUPER easy to get to school from our apartment. You make less than three turns to get to the Metro. Get on, go 11 stops, get off, go straight. Not sure how we got so lost on Wednesday, oops. Living in downtown is the farthest distance to school (takes about 45 minutes of walking + metro), but luckily we're right near all the nightlife/restaurants!

Last night we checked out the nightlife scene by the Po River.. tons of people our age and an all around fun time. It was tricky talking to some of the Italian people we met so I'm glad our Italian classes are moving so fast.. need to learn it asap!

Today we again had four hours of Italian class. Hard core. I'm so glad I took an Italian class at UCSD this summer, because by the end of our first day we were conjugating verbs. Today we were asking each other pretty detailed questions and have to memorize lots of vocab by tomorrow. Our Italian teacher is super sweet and patient, but she's moving really fast. The pressure to learn a lot very quickly is definitely worth it - this is definitely an Italian city, ZERO English.

Highlight of the day: First gelato!
(Eataly is a super awesome marketplace/restaurant that started
in Torino, and is now all over the world - a new restaurant just opened in NY!)
